PlayStation 3 | SOCOM 4 Hands-On

We grab the PlayStation Move and its sub-controller to shoot down soldiers in the slums level of Zipper Interactive’s upcoming action game. Sony’s PlayStation Move launch at GDC 2010 wasn’t all about family fun and mini-game compilations, with the surprise announcement that core gamers wouldn’t be ignored thanks to the inclusion of Move support to the recently announced SOCOM 4. We grabbed our Move and hunkered down behind enemy lines to see just how motion controls would be incorporated into this upcoming first person shooter.

PC | OnLive launching June 17

Ambitious HD game-streaming service to debut on PC, Mac during E3, micro-consoles to follow; will cost $15/month; 1080p, 60fps service coming 2011. One year after it was unveiled at the 2009 Game Developers Conference , OnLive finally has a launch date. Company CEO Steve Perlman announced today at his keynote address at the GamesBeat mini-conference at GDC 2010 that OnLive will go live on June 17.

Xbox 360 | Super Street Fighter IV Updated Hands On – Hakan, Ibuki, Makoto, and Dudley

We grease up to take on Super Street Fighter IV’s newest character, as well as take some Street Fighter III inductees for a test brawl. In the last official trailer announcing even more characters for Super Street Fighter IV, the sound of a sloshing liquid and a mysterious voice-over hinted that there may be more surprises coming from the upgrade to last year’s fighting game favourite. Capcom finally unveiled what that last surprise was overnight, introducing a brand new character joining the Super Street Fighter IV ranks: the bulky, red-skinned, oil-obsessed Turkish fighter known as Hakan.
